Still kicking n0v 06
Hi everyone..Well it's been several months since I updated..So here goes..o.k. I can't think of anything right now..'cept when I was driving thro Alabama I noticed they were electing a new sheriff in Butler County..The choice was "Dennis Meeks" or CLINT BLACK..Now who do you thinks gonna get it..Love the Piggly Wiggly stores..Drove all the way from Buffalo N.Y. to Phoenix Arizona..Total of 2457 miles..That's MILES!..Did it in 2 1/2 days..Buffalo to St Louis to Amarillo Texas and on to Phoenix..Stopped for 2 days in Az then on to California. Spent 3 very long days in the studio with my old fiend Brian Baynes recording a lovely song written by Shay Healy and Bill (Riverdance) Whelan..It's called "The Red Hammock" and is something a little different for me...Shay wanted me to record it and we (Brian and myself) did just that...It's song about Sir JohnLavery the Belfast artist trying to paint his wife Hazel's picture after she died (young) Hazel was quite the beauty and was the model for the picture on the old pound notes. Love the U.2. E-mail about Bono clapping..Typical Glasgow humour..Happy with the recent election results in the U.S. maybe someone will do something now to get out of the mess..Picked up X.M. satellite radio for the car..Wonderful if you are (like me ) doing lots of long distance driving..Even picked up a Toronto Maple Leafs game live when I driving thru nowhere Texas..Lots of slightly boring pics from my drive on gallery page..Did manage a few spectacular sunsets....Now I just have to make it back..Looking forward to working in Germany again in Jan...Thanks for all your e-mails..Please keep in touch...Bill. p.s. This Boondock Saints thing just won't go away I still get people coming up to me and asking if I'm the dude in the movie..This happened in Switzerland..Germany ..Denmark and the U.S. a lot this year..Crazy 'cause if you blink u miss me..Whatever..Peace on Earth Goodwill to all..What a concept.
